To what extent should the grinding wheel blades be replaced?

Grinding wheel is one of the widely used abrasive tools in industrial production, its service life and safety are directly related to the production efficiency and the health of workers. Therefore, in the production must be taken seriously, timely replacement of worn products, to ensure production safety and efficiency. At what point does this product wear out and need to be replaced?

In general, it is necessary to evaluate the wear of the grinding wheel according to the following four aspects.

First, the appearance check. We can visually or microscopically observe whether the product surface has tooth shape wear, broken edges, bumps, burrs and other defects.

If these phenomena appear on the surface of the product, it needs to be replaced in time. This is because the appearance of these defects will lead to a decrease in the grinding effect of the product, produce more dust and noise, and also increase the risk of injury to the operator.

Second, the residual diameter of the product. During grinding, the diameter of the grinding wheel is gradually reduced. If the diameter of the grinding wheel decreases to less than 2/3 of the original diameter, it needs to be replaced.

Because the wear degree of the product is more serious at this time, it not only affects the grinding effect, but also generates more heat in the processing process, and is also prone to crack, fracture and other safety accidents.

To what extent should the grinding wheel blades be replaced?

Third, product wear depth. Due to the different hardness of the product material, the wear degree of different products is also different. It is measured on the side of the product and should be replaced when its diameter differs by about 10% compared to the original diameter.

This is because if the surface of the grinding wheel is worn to a certain extent, its surface will become very fragile, easy to break and explode, posing a threat to the safety of the operator.

Fourth, chip accumulation. In grinding, the product will produce a certain amount of chips, these chips can not be timely out of the chips, will accumulate at the interface between the product and the workpiece, increase wear, reduce processing efficiency, but also affect the processing quality of the product.

If the chips accumulate too much in the working process, it needs to be cleaned up in time and replaced.

To what extent the grinding wheel wear must be replaced, it needs to be judged according to the actual situation. In the production process, it is necessary to strengthen the supervision of the equipment, regularly check the wear situation, and do the corresponding maintenance and replacement work to ensure the safety, stability and efficiency of the equipment. At the same time, for the use of products, it is also necessary to train and guide operators to improve their safety awareness and operational skills, so as to avoid unnecessary injuries and losses.
